ADS Laser Cutting 获 Talos 优选供应商资格,完成逾 24.5 万英镑急单
ADS Laser secures preferred-supplier status with global material-handling specialist

Leicester-based metalwork firm ADS Laser Cutting has strengthened its relationship with global material-handling equipment specialist Talos Engineered Products (Talos) after successfully delivering a major fast-track manufacturing programme worth more than £245,000.
ADS Laser manufactured sheet-metal components for conveyor units destined for a major UK fulfilment centre, completing in just six weeks a programme that would normally have taken around 14. The project marked a significant development in a relationship spanning several years with ADS Laser subsequently completing a second commission for Talos: a showcase piece for exhibition at a recent trade show. As a result, ADS Laser Cutting has now been named one of Talos’ preferred suppliers.
Talos Engineered Products engaged the services of ADS Laser Cutting in early 2026 when it secured the contract to deliver the UK fulfilment centre. Its requirements for UK suppliers included the need for partners who could provide both the necessary manufacturing capacity and respond quickly and openly as requirements evolved.
ADS Laser responded by investing in additional manufacturing equipment, optimising its production processes and introducing multiple shifts to maximise capacity. Dedicated inspection and cleaning areas were also established to ensure quality standards met Talos’ requirements, thereby avoiding any delays.
Commenting on ADS Laser’s involvement in the project, Padraig Riordan, supply chain manager at Talos Engineered Products, said: “The ADS Laser Cutting team were superb throughout the whole project. What particularly stood out was their honest and open communication. The team never overpromised; if there was a challenge, they explained it and worked with us to find the best way forward. They were also quick to respond when requirements changed and regularly suggested ways in which components could be manufactured more efficiently.”
With tight timeframes to meet, quality and efficiency were paramount considerations at all stages. The ADS Laser Cutting team made practical suggestions that helped to resolve drawing issues, as well as recommending ways to manufacture components more efficiently.
Andy Smith, production director at ADS Laser Cutting, commented: “With ambitious timescales, it was important that we were not only honest from the outset about what could be achieved and where challenges may occur, but also that we sought to provide solutions for those challenges which we absolutely did.
“By taking a collaborative approach with Talos from the outset, we were able to successfully complete the project on time. This undoubtedly strengthened their trust in us as it led to a further piece of work that we have just completed for them and we are already looking forward to further collaboration as we move towards 2027.”
When delays elsewhere in the supply chain affected the project, ADS Laser Cutting also provided storage at its 87,000ft² Leicester manufacturing facility for other components, helping Talos Engineered Products manage the wider installation schedule.
Mr Riordan concluded: “Managing a project of this scale is like assembling a very large jigsaw, so every supplier needs to deliver its part at the right time. The team at ADS Laser Cutting was always dependable in this respect and went above and beyond when other timings threatened to impact the overall delivery timeline.
“They have certainly proven themselves as one of our preferred suppliers and I very much look forward to working with them more in the future.”
