Okuma America Corp. has announced the promotion of Summer Cline to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The promotion recognizes Cline’s significant contributions to the organization and reflects the company’s strategic commitment to supporting continued growth and long-term success.
Cline joined Okuma America in 2018 as vice president of finance and was promoted to senior vice president of finance in 2024. In her current role, she oversees the company’s finance, accounting, commercial operations, human resources and information technology functions. As CFO, she will continue to lead these areas while driving strategic financial initiatives that support the company’s growth objectives and future vision.
“Since joining the organization, Summer has made a tremendous impact on our finance and accounting operations, while also contributing meaningfully across many areas of the business,” said Jim King, Chief Executive Officer of Okuma America Corp. “Her leadership, strategic insight, and commitment to excellence have been instrumental to our success. I am confident she will continue to play a vital role as we position the company for sustained growth in the years ahead.”
Prior to joining Okuma America, Cline served as vice president of finance for Source Technologies, a Charlotte-based technology company, where she worked for two years. Before that, she spent more than a decade with Compass Group North America, a leading food service and support services organization. During her tenure, she held positions of increasing responsibility, including project analyst, project manager and director of strategic projects. Earlier in her career, she worked as a state and local tax consultant with Grant Thornton LLP.
Cline holds a Master of Accounting degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.
