Vericut to Showcase CNC Simulation, Optimisation and AI Solutions at Advanced Engineering 2026

Vericut will showcase its CNC simulation, verification, optimisation and post-processing technologies at Advanced Engineering 2026, scheduled for 4–5 November at the NEC Birmingham. At Stand Q140-19, the company will demonstrate how digital manufacturing solutions can help manufacturers improve machining performance, minimise production risks and achieve measurable operational savings.

Advanced Engineering brings together engineering professionals, manufacturers and technology suppliers to explore developments in advanced manufacturing, automation, digitalisation, clean energy, research and development, and skills. Vericut’s participation will focus on practical applications that help engineering teams address production challenges before they affect shopfloor operations.

Vericut’s CNC simulation and verification software enables manufacturers to test post-processed numerical control (NC) programs against a digital representation of the machine tool and its manufacturing environment. By accounting for machine kinematics, tooling, fixtures, stock and controller behaviour, the software helps identify programming errors and potential collisions before machining begins.

Digital verification can reduce machine prove-out time, protect expensive equipment and components, and minimise the risk of production delays. It also allows programmers and operators to assess machining processes before committing valuable machine time.

The company will also demonstrate Vericut Force, its machining optimisation technology, which analyses cutting conditions along the programmed toolpath and adjusts feed rates based on factors such as cutter engagement, chip thickness, cutting forces and machining conditions. The technology is designed to improve cycle times and tool life without changing the programmed toolpath geometry.

UK-based ELE Advanced Technologies, which manufactures turbine components for the aerospace and power generation industries, has reported a 20% reduction in cutting tool costs per component and an 11% reduction in cycle time using Vericut Force. The results illustrate the potential for data-driven optimisation to deliver savings while improving machining productivity.

Artificial intelligence will form another part of Vericut’s demonstration. Vericut Assistant provides contextual guidance within the software through natural-language questions, helping users navigate functions and workflows. Vericut Intelligence offers web-based access to technical knowledge, while AI-assisted guidance is also being introduced within Icam Post.

These tools are intended to help manufacturing professionals access relevant information more efficiently and support skills development as production processes become increasingly sophisticated. They complement the experience of engineers and programmers rather than replace specialist judgement.

As manufacturers adopt more advanced CNC equipment and digital workflows, simulation, verification and optimisation are becoming important tools for controlling complexity and improving production consistency. Visitors to Stand Q140-19 will be able to discuss their manufacturing requirements with the Vericut team and explore applications across CNC simulation, verification, optimisation, post-processing and AI-assisted workflows.
