However, one of the major new developments presented at IMTS will be the CNC 8065elite 2.0 G, Fagor Automation’s new CNC specifically developed for grinding applications. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of grinding processes, the solution combines advanced CNC technology with a comprehensive library of ready-to-run cycles, simplifying programming and operation while ensuring precision, repeatability, and process reliability across different grinding operations.

Feedback Systems: precision, efficiency, and sustainability

The Series3 encoder range will also take centre stage, with new developments in both linear and angular encoders. The new L3 modular incremental linear encoder extends measuring lengths up to 100 metres, while new closed incremental angular encoder models expand the range for high-performance applications.

In addition, Series3 strengthens its commitment to sustainability under the Environmentally Friendly Fagor Encoders concept. This approach incorporates design solutions that enable encoder operation without pressurized air, helping reduce energy consumption and improve overall efficiency. By eliminating the need for compressed air while maintaining the required levels of precision and reliability, these solutions contribute to reducing the environmental impact of machine tool operation.

This commitment to more sustainable technology is combined with the incorporation of 3STATECH technology, which ensures reliable performance even in challenging environments. Compatibility with multiple digital protocols, including FeeDat, allows a single encoder to be connected to different control systems through protocol adapters, optimizing machine design and material management. Together with Functional Safety certification, these features make Series 3 a suitable solution for critical applications where safety, reliability, and performance are essential.

Visitors will also be able to discover Smart Encoder Systems, Fagor Automation’s smart encoder solution, which brings new capabilities to feedback technology.
