Fastems is inviting manufacturers to a webinar focused on selecting automation strategies that match individual production requirements. The company says lessons from more than 5,000 machining automation projects show that manufacturers with similar goals can require very different solutions.

The session will be led by Janne Kivinen, Fastems’ Milling Automation Product Manager. Kivinen will share practical lessons on choosing what the company describes as the most profitable automation approach for specific flexibility needs.

Fastems highlights the difference between a shop producing hundreds of part numbers and a batch manufacturer running a limited part mix over several years. According to the company, an automation system suited to high part-number variety may not be the best option for a business with a more stable, limited production mix.

The webinar will examine the factors Fastems says influence profitability, productivity and future growth when companies invest in manufacturing automation.
